Come to Jesus and let the glorious things of earth grow strangely bright,
in the light of His glory and grace!

Some of you will know the old hymn maybe:

Turn your eyes upon Jesus
Look full, in his wonderful face
And the things of earth will grow strangely dim
In the light of his glory and grace

Is this not the picture most of us have in our heads of the real devoted Christian . . . the one for whom the things of earth grows strangely dim, of less and less importance, the more he or she fixes their eyes upon Jesus?

Is the ideal Christian not someone who cares less and less about physical things, who becomes less and less interested in the things of this world, disengaged from it and more and more spiritual . . .

I hope that we will see in this series, that the Bible says, NO!

The good things of earth all point to God and so all the glorious physical gifts given to us, if we turn our eyes upon Jesus, will find their proper place and it will grow strangely bright, it will bring great joy, it will help us see the glory of God much clearer! Visit Series Page
